The Director Strategic Planning, Studios Franchise Development has a passion for and understanding of gaming and entertainment spaces. They will possess franchise business experience and will be equally at home developing strategic industry solutions as they will be creating operational solutions with influential partners and game studios leaders. This person will have the ability to conduct, analyze market research and formulate solutions for franchise expansion and growth. Success in this role will require the development of strong working relationships across our studio leadership team and our partner teams across Microsoft Gaming.

Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the growth and development of our studios' franchises beyond their game.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align franchise strategies with overall business objectives.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for franchise expansion and growth.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of franchise initiatives and make recommendations for improvements.
Provide strategic guidance and support to studio leadership teams.
Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders drive franchise success.
Improve consumer engagement and broaden target audiences through data-driven repositioning, branding, product plans, and communication strategies.

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Liberal Arts, Sciences, or related field AND 10+ years relevant work experience (e.g., investment banking, consulting, finance, marketing, corporate strategy, sales, venture capital, legal, business development, product management, project management, software development, or related field)
OR equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in problem solving, strategic planning, business development, or a related role within the gaming or entertainment industry.
5+ years of experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, successful leadership and project management skills.
Experience with franchise development and franchise management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's/Advanced Degree in Business, Sciences, or related field AND 10+ years relevant work experience
Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of the gaming industry.
Knowledge of market research and analysis techniques.
PowerPoint and presentation skills.
Business Development IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year.
