Position Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Attorney with substantial experience in estate planning, probate, and litigation to assume the role of President of Estate Planning Legal Services P.C. This leadership position requires a minimum of 10 years of legal experience, a strong background in probate and estate planning, and extensive litigation experience. The candidate must also have proven experience managing teams of lawyers and legal service professionals.
As President, you will oversee the strategic direction of the firm, ensuring its continued success while managing the estate planning and probate practice areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the President of the firm, setting and executing the strategic vision and business goals of the organization.
Lead the estate planning and probate practice areas, providing high-level legal services to clients.
Manage all aspects of probate disputes and estate-related litigation.
Oversee and mentor a team of attorneys, paralegals, and other legal staff, ensuring their professional growth and the overall success of the firm.
Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders, driving business development and client satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with all applicable estate planning, probate, and tax laws, providing expert legal counsel to clients.
Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure operational efficiency and long-term growth of the firm.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in probate and estate planning law.
Extensive litigation experience in probate, estate, and trust disputes.
Demonstrated experience managing and leading a team of legal professionals.
Strong business acumen with the ability to lead and grow a legal practice.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Active bar membership in Michigan.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in tax law as it relates to estate planning.
Proven track record of managing a legal team or firm.
Strong client relationship management skills.
