The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine, and Pain Management at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine (UMMSOM) seeks an exceptional candidate to join the faculty as the Division Chief of Pediatric Anesthesia. The University of Miami is among the top-tier higher education institutions in the U.S. for its academic excellence, superior medical care, and cutting-edge research.Employment Requirements:Candidates should have completed a U.S.-approved residency in Anesthesiology or equivalent training and certification.Board eligibility or certification in Anesthesiology is required.The candidate should be a well-established researcher in Pediatric Anesthesiology or a related field.Leadership experience is essential.The candidate should hold the rank of Associate Professor or higher.Job Description:We seek a Division Chief of Pediatric Anesthesia to lead and grow a division of Board-certified faculty. The applicant should have an established academic career in Pediatric Anesthesiology or a related area. The Division Chief will work with Departmental and Hospital Leaders to build a world-class team and guide the Pediatric education of one of the largest residency programs and the Pediatric Fellowship.The Division Chief should be comfortable delivering clinical care at all levels and serving as an academic mentor. Transplant experience is highly desired but not required.Applicants should be comfortable supervising residents, fellows, CRNAs, and SRNAs. The Division Chief will participate in the Department's academic activities, including teaching, mentoring trainees, and participating in departmental conferences and faculty meetings.A history of prior/current competitive funding is desirable. Effort distribution may change based on department needs, candidates' interests, and success in obtaining extramural grant funding.Compensation:
