This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, you will facilitate configuration management and control for various rocket engine test stand systems. You will provide crucial contributions to the team’s impact on all aspects of configuration management for each phase of the development lifecycle.You will be responsible for comparing AutoCAD as-designed versus as-built P&IDs/drawings and ensuring they are in the correct configuration within Windchill for various rocket engine & component test facilities. You will also coordinate regular configuration reviews to address test article and subsystem interfaces, functionality, assembly, and operations. Other duties will include guiding multi-functional teams through the Engineering Change process; supporting the resolution of integration issues with lead engineers and their respective teams; and developing or managing control documents associated with interface definitions between subsystems and test articles. You will also perform Control Data Management to Windchill, Epsilon3, and JIRA artifacts.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight! Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Maintain the high-level Engineering Bill of Materials and product structureMaintain artifact configurations within AutoCAD and WindchillEnsure the team adheres to industry and Blue Origin configuration management standards and methodologiesSupport improvement of program policy and procedures around effective configuration & organizational changeEnsure that the configuration supports major design reviews and the integration landmarksMaintain and report on engineering development activity and technical issuesClear communication and collaboration with all development teams involved on projectsClear communication with senior program leaders including chief engineers and program directorsMinimum Qualifications:B.S. degree in engineering and 6+ years proven ability in design, development, sustainment and/or configuration management of highly integrated, complex productsExperience in aerospace, mechanical, oil/gas, automotive, or other related industry.Proven configuration control experience on recently developed products from early trade studies through final design and into manufacturing and test, maintenance and sustaining.Management of multiple configuration variants of a common design baseline.Management of changes to an operational (fielded) system with varying effectivities across multiple productsFamiliar with viewing and navigating large models in CAD programs (AutoCAD and/or Creo Pro/E preferred)Ability to read and understand P&IDs and/or other AutoCAD schematicsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumAbility to navigate in a fast-paced environment with standard work and special projectsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with AutoCADExperience with Jules, Epsilon3, and/or JIRAExperience with PTC Windchill PLM toolsFamiliar with CAD conventions such as ASME Y14.100 and Y14.41Knowledge of aerospace rocket engine test stands and related quality control conceptsKnowledge of current industry standard systems engineering and configuration management tools, methodologiesExperience in an engineering skill such as mechanical, payloads, propulsion, etc.Compensation Range for WA applicants:
