team:Role Overview:RTX Enterprise Cybersecurity Services (ECS) is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join the ECS Cybersecurity Architecture & Engineering team as the Lead Enterprise Cloud Security Architect. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the security architectures, strategies, and technologies that safeguard our cloud infrastructure and ensure regulatory compliance while enabling RTX to move at the speed of cloud. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud security frameworks, tools, and best practices, along with a strong background in enterprise-level IT architecture and DevSecOps. Experience with classified environments is a plus.What You Will Do:Lead the design and implementation of secure cloud architecture solutions across multiple cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and enterprise SaaS offerings (e.g. M365, Workday, SAP, ServiceNow).Develop, maintain, and accelerate adoption of cloud security strategies, frameworks, and reference architectures to ensure a robust security posture.Integrate security controls and processes (e.g. CSPM and CNAPP) into existing and new cloud environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.Ensure that cloud environments comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and corporate security requirements.Implement and manage security governance frameworks and policies, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, and data security and compliance measures.Communicate cloud strategies, initiatives, and risks to middle and senior executive leadership.Partner with RTX Cyber Assurance to regularly assess the posture of our cloud environments and identify architectural or operational weaknesses.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, IT, IAM, and application development to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).Work closely with IAM to design and implement robust identity and access management strategies, ensuring least privilege access, role-based access control (RBAC), and secure authentication mechanisms are in place across all cloud environments.Act as a subject matter expert on cloud security, advising on best practices and emerging trends in cloud security, providing technical guidance and mentorship to other security architects, engineers, and stakeholders.Stay current with emerging cloud security technologies, trends, and threats, and recommend enhancements to existing security practices.Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to cloud security and ensure compliance across all cloud services and understand how it pertains to RTX (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA, DFARS, NIST 800-171, etc.).Establish and enforce cloud security policies, procedures, and guidelines, including identity and access management (IAM) policies as they relate to cloud services.Continuously assess cloud-related security risks and vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies to address identified threats.Ensure that cyber detection and response teams have the appropriate telemetry and capabilities to effectively respond to cloud security incidents, and assist in incident response efforts when necessary.Evaluate the security posture of third-party cloud service providers and manage relationships with cloud vendors to ensure security compliance.Implement advanced security monitoring tools and techniques to detect and respond to security incidents in real-time.Drive organizational maturity, alignment, and operational performance.Qualifications You Must Have:B.S, B.A, or other advanced degree in a STEM field.10+ years experience in cybersecurity, and/or information technology, or related intelligence community, military, or civil service fields.5+ years as a cloud security architect or leading cloud security teams.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
