The AIML Data Operations group engages with teams across Apple’s ecosystem with the ultimate goal of delivering high-quality annotated data in support of unreleased products and groundbreaking AI technology. The Data Operations Capacity Planning team is looking for a highly motivated Senior Analyst with proven experience in planning, forecasting, analytics, and operations. In this role, you will be responsible for converting internal customer’s annotation/labeling needs into quantitative project requirements and assembling and executing on the capacity planning necessary to deliver projects successfully. Teams across Apple, building amazing experiences into every Apple product, will come to rely on you to meet their product needs with high quality, cost-effective, and timely annotated data.
Description
You are an experienced analyst who loves working with people across technical and non-technical domains to solve problems and deliver results. In this role you’ll have a chance to lean on all of your technical and people skills while engaging with teams across Apple’s ecosystem who are working on cutting-edge AI and machine learning technology. You will work with teams in operations, engineering, and program management to forecast demand, develop capacity plans, and partner in the execution of annotations projects on a daily basis that support Apple’s machine learning and AI efforts. You will work with client engagement and business planning to gather data and prepare projects for execution. You will partner with engineering teams to improve project execution automation, analytics, and reporting. You will communicate performance trends to leaders on an ongoing basis, highlighting and spearheading opportunities to drive further efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
Advanced degree in economics, mathematics, engineering/computer science, or other relevant field that demonstrates quantitative skill.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Forecasting, Planning, Data Analyst, or Data Science roles
Proficiency with using large scale data analytics in service of solving complex business problems
Proficiency with data science programming languages (e.g. Python), data visualization (e.g. Tableau), SQL, and Excel
Ability to condense complex concepts and analysis into clear and concise takeaways that drive action
Superb communication and presentation skills with meticulous attention to detail
Excellent in teamwork and relationship building. Not above doing whatever it takes to get the job done.
Self-directed and proactive. You thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,600 and $236,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
