Why This Role is Important to Us:

A Senior AI Engineer plays a crucial role in designing and implementing machine learning models, developing advanced AI applications, and ensuring they perform as required. They blend knowledge in data science and software engineering to create AI models that serve business needs. Additionally, they collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex problems, seamlessly integrating various systems while harnessing the power of AI to enhance employee interactions and workflows.

This role will support all AI engineering activities across the enterprise including Clinical Analytics, Utilization Management, Clinical Automation, Claims and Encounters Processing and driving our strategic Model of Care.

No, this position does not have direct reports.

What You'll Be Doing:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement AI solutions to address various customer needs and enhance business value.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers, to integrate AI solutions into our products.

Develop efficient artificial intelligence systems that enhance predictive and generative automation capabilities.

Build reusable AI infrastructure and integrate with cloud platforms.

Deliver successful AI projects by utilizing natural language processing (NLP), deep learning, and computer vision techniques.

Create and maintain process documentation, including workflow diagrams and technical specifications.

Build machine learning models. Understand algorithms like regression, classification, clustering, and recommendation systems.

Deploy models as APIs or services using cloud services such as Azure ML or by custom REST endpoints.

Work closely with DevOps engineers and Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to integrate AI solutions, model training, test and deployment into existing workflows.

Preferred ability to commute distance to Boston, MA as needed

What We're Looking For:

Required Education (must have):

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

Desired Education (nice to have):

Masters in Computer Science

Microsoft Azure Fundamental

Azure AI Engineer Associate

Required Experience (must have):

5+ years of experience with AI/ML, including proficiency in Python, R.

Experience with popular libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch and scikit-learn.

Experience on how to integrate cloud-based AI Services (such as Azure AI Services) into applications.

Knowledge & experience with principles of machine learning and deep learning.

Has Implemented responsible AI practices, including model explainability and interpretability.

Has implemented AIOps.

Experience with different types of AI capabilities such as cognitive (NLP, computer vision, speech recognition and sentiment analysis), document intelligence, etc.

Desired Experience (nice to have):

Proficiency in cloud computing platforms (specifically Azure).

Experience on how to integrate near-real-time data into event-driven AI workflows.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (must have):

Proficiency in AI/ML, including Python, R, or C#, .Net

Knowledge on how to integrate cloud based AI Services (such as Azure AI Services) into applications.

Knowledge on how to integrate near-real-time data into event-driven AI workflows.

Implement responsible AI practices, including model explainability and interpretability.

Required Language (must have):

English

Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Language (nice to have):

Knowledge with AIOps - specifically with GitHub Actions.

Proficiency and experience with Azure AI Services.

Any relevant certifications (e.g., UiPath Certified RPA Developer) are a plus.
