What You Will Do:
Project ArchitectAs Gannett Fleming continues to grow and expand, we are looking for a talented
Project Architect
to thrive within our
Boston architectural studio . We rely on our energetic staff to share with us their unique perspectives and elevate the quality of our work. At Gannett Fleming, we believe in a symbiotic work environment - you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with and lead a talented team of architects
and
engineers with the aim of realizing a better integrated design.In this role, you will need to be a detail oriented architect with a positive attitude to lead architectural teams including coordination with other disciplines and fully commit to our multi-disciplined approach to design. You will be working on projects for national and statewide public-facing governmental agencies seeking our best ideas to improve the public realm. You should expect to be challenged to produce high quality work in a fast-paced and intellectually engaging environment.We are seeking to make a long-term professional investment in you. Once hired, our studio leader will meet with you to review your professional goals and establish a career track to allow for continued growth within our organization.As
Project Architect , you will have the following responsibilities:Prepare concept designs for active projects and proposals.Produce conceptual renderings for project and presentation purposes.Prepare architectural working drawings and related project documents.Prepare project specifications.Coordinate construction administration activities such as the review of shop drawings, response to requests for information, and running construction meetings.Work collaboratively and positively in a team environment.Be willing to expand your skills and grow professionally.Education | Experience:
Minimum QualificationsBachelor of Arts/Science in Architecture, Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree is required.7-10 years minimum experience in an architectural office setting is required.MA License is required.High proficiency in REVIT Building Information Modeling Architecture with experience in both design and construction documentation is required.Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint software is required.Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam Revu is required.Strong graphic skills and experience with 3D Modeling software such as Sketch-Up Pro or similar is desired.Experience with 3D Rendering software such as Lumion 3D, Enscape or similar is desired.Knowledge of the following building types is desired: transit, transportation, K-12 education or MA municipal.Knowledge of residential wood frame construction is a plus.Candidate must have a thorough knowledge of current International Building Codes, NFPA, ADA, LEED, and knowledge of related standards such as ANSI, ASTM, ASHRAE etc.Candidate must be dynamic, creative and detail oriented.Candidate must be able to work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other teams where overlap of client project work exists.Company Overview:
