Job Title: Cybersecurity & Governance Team Lead (CGTL)Clearance Required: SecretWork Location: Hybrid – Washington, DC & Remote (onsite 3 days required)
Alpha Omega is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CGTL to join our team and perform a key role in ensuring the effective and efficient implementation of our cybersecurity and governance framework across the Bureau/Organization. You are expected to accomplish the establishment of a Cybersecurity Program which includes education and implementation of the cybersecurity policies, procedures, training, documentation, and management reporting to meet the objectives and goals of improving the Security Scorecard by reducing the risk level for the Bureau.
You will be a team lead of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) team. You will support Bureau IT with both continued and ongoing security compliance, the creation of a cyber program, as well as oversight of governance, asset & investment management, configuration and change management functions. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a robust security framework for the customers and public diplomacy goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Tracking timely remediation of security vulnerabilities and monitoring security incidents.
Identifying, recommending, and remediating gaps that have been identified and creating a path for implementation.
Leading the collaboration with the IT staff and the ISSO on security management and compliance as well as creating unified processes to provide comprehensive incident response and issue resolution support to meet the Security Incident KPI requirements.
Using existing tools such as NPM and AppDynamics, continually monitor for vulnerabilities and resolve anomalies to improve risk scores.
Applying an AOI proposed framework to support Bureau governance goals, fostering iterative implementation and metrics collections to measure its effectiveness.
Submit and present weekly reports to present the status and upcoming tasks in CGT.
Manage ATOs (Authority to Operate) for multiple systems: prepare project plans, execute & monitor them and coordinate related teams.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree.
Experience/Skills:
An active Secret Clearance.
5+ years of experience in a related role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with MS Office tools.
Strong ability to communicate and collaborate at multiple levels in the organization.
Certifications (must have one of the following):
Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
Auditor (CISA).
CISSP.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of COBIT and CGEIT framework/best practices.
Understanding of ITSM best practice & ITIL (v.3 or higher) Certification.
Interest in learning and using new knowledge, techniques/skills; example: CPIC (Capital Planning and Investment Control), AI, Investment Reviews/Analysis etc.
