GLOBAL MARKETS PB RISK & UNDERWRITING
The Prime Services group within Equities provides a broad range of specialized services to hedge fund, futures and execution and clearing clients such as securities lending, custody & settlement, margin financing, execution and clearing services, accounting and portfolio analytics. The successful candidate will work in the Risk team that looks at these businesses and will play an important role in day-to-day risk management as well as a leading role in platform development. The Risk group is a global team operating out of London, New York, Chicago, and Hong Kong.
RESPONSIBILITIESRisk ManagementDaily assessment of portfolio risk across a substantial client base and across a wide range of asset classesDevelopment of risk offering/platform and other risk initiativesProvision of risk management solutions to clients in relation to margin financing and leveraged tradingDeveloping enhanced internal and external reporting, focusing on adding value to the client and providing management with relevant risk informationClose focus on financial markets, assessing the potential for risk issues to ariseClient Relationship Management Ownership of specific client relationships from a risk perspectiveLiaising with product development groups and Technology to deliver innovative solutions to client demands and enhance the client experienceWorking to identify opportunities for clients to optimize client capital allocationQUALIFICATIONS4-5 years of relevant experience in financial markets in a numerate and technical role (ideally risk or trading)Excellent product skills across multiple asset classesDerivatives (listed futures and options) knowledge is a priorityVery strong attention to detail and client focusedAbility to work independently but also as part of a teamAbility to prioritize, multi-task and remain calm under pressureStrong quantitative skillsStrong IT skills are an advantageSelf-motivated and drivenExceptional written and verbal communication skillsBusiness acumen - driven to challenge the norms and to explore business expansion opportunitiesABOUT GOLDMAN SACHSAt Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital, and ideas to help our clients, shareholders, and the communities we serve to grow.
