OverviewOVERVIEW OF POSITION:
Oversees and manages the enterprise-wide integration of Azure cloud services with on-premises VMware infrastructure. Collaborates with the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team to enhance infrastructure reliability and data accessibility. Designs and implements robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions, helps enforce governance frameworks for managing cloud and on-premises resources, and ensures compliance with industry standards and company policies. Additionally, will evaluate and introduce new technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Starting Salary Range: $96k - $120k / yr.
ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manages the integration of Azure cloud services with on-premises VMware infrastructure to create a seamless hybrid environment.
Collaborates with End User Services, Security, and EDW teams to improve infrastructure reliability and data accessibility.
Leads the architecture planning and execution for both cloud migrations and on-premise upgrades.
Optimizes infrastructure for cost, performance, and security across both environments, providing strategic oversight for disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Designs and implements comprehensive security measures, collaborating with IT security teams to manage solutions like Okta for Single Sign On.
Mentors teams responsible for cloud and virtual environment management, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Prepares forecasts for IT infrastructure expenditures, balancing cloud services with on-premises solutions.
Designs and implements secure and scalable infrastructure solutions tailored to organizational needs.
Enforces governance frameworks to ensure compliance of cloud and on-premises resources with industry standards and company policies.
Plans and executes cloud migrations and on-premises upgrades with minimal operational disruption.
Ensures robust networking solutions and manages Active Directory for seamless user access and operations.
Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEDUCATION:
Extensive experience managing Microsoft Azure and VMware environments, including the design and deployment of hybrid infrastructure solutions, or a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience in Information Technology, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
5+ years' relevant experience.
Proven proficiency in virtualization, cloud infrastructure, networking, and storage systems related to VMware and Azure.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Extensive experience in managing Microsoft Azure and VMware environments, including designing and deploying hybrid infrastructure solutions.
Highly organized, with analytical thinking.
Expertise in managing Active Directory and ensuring seamless user access.
Excellent communication skills, capable of developing and presenting recommendations to team and leadership.
Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills. Strong ethics, influence and negotiation, used to work cooperatively with a variety of individuals or groups; and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and engage in continuous learning.
Proven history of managing and fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
Practical knowledge of IT compliance and risk management.
Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Easterseals of Southern California and/or program requirements.
Must pass all drug testing required by ESSC.
