Responsibilities
Peraton is looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assist with the operation, maintenance, and use of
Splunk
and related data processing and analysis technologies. This work directly supports one of our longstanding customers who promotes a relaxed, flexible, challenging environment. This role will provide technical, analytical, engineering, and strategic planning services for Splunk. This work includes all aspects of Splunk, such as dashboard creation, content and reporting generation, data ingestion, assistance to users and more.
Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD (or equivalent work experience in Information Systems or related field)
Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph4+ years of experience in the operation, maintenance and usage of SplunkAbility to design, deploy, and maintain clustered Splunk environments for investigative and system monitoring needs across multiple enclaves of different classification levelsProficiency to investigate and troubleshoot problems with Splunk systems and configurationsExperience in customizing and maintaining configurations to ensure functionality with unique requirements including:
Data classificationsMinimization markingsAutomated data purging for legal complianceForensic and non-standard data typesUnique datasets
Aptitude in the following Splunk categories:
Planning and creation of dashboardsContent creationDevelopment of custom Splunk applicationsAlerts and reportsData taggingData processing and ingestion

Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
