Software Engineer (SWE)

at Skill Level 1 to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, including processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, and real-time systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team. The Software Engineer will also review and test software components to ensure adherence to design requirements and resolve software problem reports.Key Responsibilities:Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.Debug existing software and correct defects to improve functionality.Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development processes.Develop and implement algorithms to enhance system performance and meet functional standards.Assist in developing and executing test procedures for software components.Write or review software and system documentation to ensure clarity and accuracy.Collaborate with users or system engineers to analyze system flow, data usage, and work processes.Lead a team at an appropriate level for the software development process being utilized.Modify existing software to correct errors or adapt to new hardware requirements.Design and implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.Utilize scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict outcomes and measure the consequences of design.Qualifications:Experience:

Seven (7) years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.Technical Skills:

Proficiency in software development methodologies, debugging tools, and database management.Compensation:

$120,000 - $210,000
