DVS is looking for a Computer Engineer - AWS Cloud & ERP Specialist. The work location will be Tysons Corner, VA with flexibility to work from home.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Computer Engineer with hands-on experience in setting up, configuring, and monitoring cloud environments, particularly with AWS. The ideal candidate will have experience with ERP software systems, enabling smooth transitions, effective resource management, and secure data handling. This role is pivotal to our technology team, where you will support cloud infrastructure operations, ERP deployments, and data migration tasks across diverse systems.
Key Responsibilities:
AWS Cloud Infrastructure:
Set up and manage AWS cloud environments, ensuring optimal configurations for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Monitor AWS resources, implement security protocols, and address performance bottlenecks.
Develop and maintain automation scripts (using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar) for AWS resource provisioning.
ERP System Management:
Oversee ERP software setup, configuration, and integration with other systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand ERP requirements, customize features, and maintain system upgrades.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ERP-related issues.
Additional Support (Data Migration):
Assist with data migration activities related to ERP or cloud integration, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
Document migration processes and provide insights for future improvements if applicable.
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business needs.
Provide technical guidance on best practices for cloud infrastructure and ERP management.
Document workflows, processes, and system configurations to support knowledge transfer and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with AWS (AWS certifications are a plus).
Proficiency with automation tools for cloud management (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps Administrator).
Experience in ERP system configuration and support is a plus.
Experience with data migration processes is a plus, especially within cloud or ERP environments.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and containerization such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and Helm Charts.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
