We are seeking a Data Scientist who will apply expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining to uncover patterns and insights that drive operational improvements. As a Data Scientist, you will collaborate cross-functionally to understand business challenges and gather requirements. You will design and implement solutions utilizing statistical modeling, machine learning, text mining, causal inference, and other advanced analytical techniques to provide data-driven recommendations.

Key Job Responsibilities
Partner with stakeholders to translate business challenges into appropriate data science solutions.Collect, analyze, synthesize data into useful business insights and recommended actions.Perform statistical analysis and modeling to uncover trends, correlations, drivers and recommend operational improvements.Work with large, disparate datasets across databases. Use AWS services to build scalable ML models.Communicate technical insights concisely and non-technically to business owners.Design and implement machine learning solutions to automate analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience.4+ years of data scientist experience.Experience with statistical models e.g. multinomial logistic regression.2+ years of data visualization using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc. experience.Experience managing data pipelines.Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $143,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
