JOB TITLE: Senior Solution Architect
LOCATION: Remote
Position Overview:
The Senior Solutions Architect reports to the Vice President of Growth and works closely with capture and proposal personnel to craft innovative technical solutions to meet the requirements described in a Federal agency Statement of Work (SOW) or Performance Work Statement (PWS). This involves writing and delivering content for contract-winning proposals. This position supports the capture of federal agency contracts and task orders. We are seeking a resource that has experience delivering compelling proposal responses that result in awarded contracts. The Solution Architect authors technical approaches for federal proposals within a planned proposal schedule and performs maintenance of the content library.

Your work will have deadlines and will require regular meaningful updates to the leadership team. Due to the nature of federal contracting, the team works evenings and weekends when needed. We keep busy and a solution architect proposal writer will have 1-3 concurrent assignments (e.g. RFP responses) at any given time, depending on the intensity of the assignment.
Job Duties:
Operate as technical SME for proposal team and provide insights to internal and external team members. Conduct proactive customer/market research as needed on technical/functional areas to gain better understanding of customer needs to shape customer-focused solutions and responses. Applies win themes and strategic messaging in proposal content. Ensure solutions crafted provide a compelling story to meet PWS/SOW requirements. Deliver level of effort, when needed for the proposal response. Contribute to company proposal bid analysis processes. Attend proposal team stand up meetings to provide updates on progress, impediments, and accomplishments. Willingness to incorporate feedback from reviewers to improve drafts. Identifies and reworks existing proposal content for use in active bids. Supports the maintenance of a writing team content library. Uses OneDrive/Teams/SharePoint collaborative platform to work on content (no local copies). Enters assignment status into a pipeline tracking system and keeps it up to date. Presents status updates on daily scrum call and weekly leadership call. Proactively communicates needs and issues ahead of deadlines. Strives to get proposal evaluation ratings of no less than acceptable, evidenced by strengths included in proposal debriefings. Works in partnership with the entire proposal team to ensure the success of a bid.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical related discipline or possesses at least 5 technical certifications related to services provided in any of these IT services technical domains:
system development and engineering, system integration, enterprise IT support, cybersecurity, network operations, help/service desk support, program management, financial management, data management, or related IT services domain. Verifiable track record of small business set aside federal task order awards in the last 5 years within any of the following IT services technical domains:
system development and engineering, system integration, enterprise IT support, cybersecurity, network operations, help/service desk support, program management, financial management, data management, or related IT services domain. 5 to 10 years of experience writing technical content for federal government RFPs. Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in information technology and federal government contracting. Extensive experience in government contracting, especially working in the Federal Defense or Civilian agencies, in lead technical roles (Architecture, Systems Design, or Development). Possess an excellent overall understanding of enterprise architecture, system/application architecture and processes/tools used within Federal agencies. Ability to tailor technical solutions to meet the government requirements with a willingness to lead Technical Approach narrative. Exceptional written/oral communication skills. Exceptional time management and a history of being on time to deliver proposal assignments with an ability to size own time necessary to complete proposal assignments.
Required Qualifications:
Proficient with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Strong understanding of IT methodologies (e.g. ITIL, Agile, DevSecOps). Possesses technical skills to understand government requirements, solution needs and how to articulate an award-winning proposal. Understanding of relevant federal acquisition regulations.
