seeks a

Pediatric Intensivist

to join its practice at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare in Tallahassee, Florida.Multi-specialty practice, consisting of pediatric intensivists, PNPs, and pediatric hospitalists, working as a team to provide family-centered quality healthcare.The trauma center is a Level II with a 10 bed PICU that has over 300-400 admissions per year.Supported by a variety of other specialists including pediatric cardiology, pediatric endocrinology, pediatric neurology, and pediatric orthopedics.A pediatric hospitalist service provides care in the 23-bed Pediatric floor.Friendly, professional atmosphere with great nurses and ancillary services including a PICC team and a full-time child life specialist.Transports are from other regional hospitals and staffed by a neonatal nurse practitioner and respiratory therapist.Schedule: Every other week off and call from home.About the hospitalTallahassee Memorial Healthcare is a 772-bed acute care hospital servicing a 21-county area in North Florida and South Georgia.Home to the region’s only Level 3 Newborn Intensive Care Unit, and the only hospital in Tallahassee to earn the Baby-Friendly Hospital designation, TMH leads the region by delivering more than 75 percent of babies born in the area.Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare is affiliated with 4 residency programs.With an ADC of 25 and 3,500 annual deliveries, this is the only area facility designated as a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and is equipped to handle high-risk moms and premature or critically ill babies.Leads the region by delivering more than 75 percent of the babies born in the area.The only hospital in Tallahassee to earn the Baby-Friendly Hospital designation, dedicated to providing patient-centered care to new babies and their families.Tallahassee Fast FactsFlorida’s state capital and the state’s ninth largest city, with nearly 199,000 residents.Temperatures vary significantly depending on the season, with summers reaching the high 90s F and winter months remaining in the 60s F and plenty of sunny days to enjoy the outdoors throughout the year.Home to Florida State University, Florida A&M University, and Tallahassee State College, providing ample opportunities for higher education and a vibrant college scene.Surrounded by beautiful parks, lakes, and forests, including the Apalachicola National Forest, the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, and the Wakulla Springs State Park.Thriving arts and culture scene, with museums, galleries, theaters, and music venues showcasing local talent and national touring acts.Relatively low cost of living with affordable housing and expenses.Diverse city with a mix of cultural backgrounds.Home to the Florida State Seminoles, one of the most successful college football programs in the country, and minor league baseball and soccer teams.Diverse culinary scene, offering everything from classic Southern flavors to international cuisine.A tight-knit community with a strong sense of civic engagement, providing numerous opportunities to get involved in local organizations and volunteer work.
