Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston is searching for a talented and qualified optometrist to join our growing practice. As an optometrist, you will be expected to use your skills and knowledge to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. Your duties will include conducting comprehensive eye exams, diagnosis and/or treatment of various conditions, and collaboration with surgeons in a busy medical practice.To qualify for this role, you must be state-licensed and possess in-depth knowledge of eye-related disorders, conditions, and treatment. The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented with excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.Responsibilities:
Perform thorough routine eye inspections.Identify and remedy eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and dry eye syndrome.Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries.Educate patients on their specific individual condition.Prescribe corrective lenses and medications.Maintain thorough and accurate medical documentation for all patients.Promote eye health by teaching patients about proper ocular hygiene and eye care techniques.Qualifications
Doctor of optometry (O.D.) degree.Must possess a state-issued license for O.D. and optometry.A minimum of 2 years experience as an Optometrist. Ocular residency trained preferred.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.In-depth knowledge of eye-related disorders, conditions, and treatments.Familiarity with current industry trends and modern techniques.Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.Prior electronic medical record experience necessary.
