Allina Health Cancer Center (AHCI) in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a board certified/board eligible Hematologist to join its thriving hematology program. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to specialize in hematology in a community-academic “hybrid” program that provides outstanding clinical care and opportunities for clinical research. The ideal candidate will have interests and experience in the care of patients with malignant neoplasms, including acute leukemia, chronic leukemia, multiple myeloma, lymphoma, and myeloproliferative neoplasms.The practice entails inpatient and outpatient care of patients with hematologic malignancies and benign hematologic conditions at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, recently named the best in the Twin Cities by U.S. News and World Report for the 12th year in a row.The hematology program at Abbott Northwestern Hospital is the tertiary referral center for acute leukemia in the Allina network of hospitals and clinics in the Twin Cities metro and surrounding areas. Our physicians are supported by advanced practice providers and nurses dedicated to hematology. Comprehensive cancer care is provided by a multidisciplinary team including nurse navigators, oncology social work, hematology/oncology clinical pharmacists, genetic counseling, dietary and supportive therapies. There is excellent support from hematopathology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, radiology, blood bank, hospitalists, intensive care, and other specialist services.The applicant is expected to participate in biweekly hematology tumor boards and teach Internal Medicine residents rotating on the hematology service.
