Rehabilitative Services - InpatientFull Time74750BRJob SummaryThe Entry Level Occupational Therapist (Occupational Therapist 1 EX) works with pediatric patients across the age continuum - infants, children, adolescents - and from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds providing both direct and indirect patient care services. Under general direction and upon receipt of written referrals, the Entry Level Occupational Therapist plans and administers a full range of occupational therapy services for patients with a variety of physical and cognitive impairments and functional limitations. Services include patient evaluations using various physical, cognitive, and visual/perceptual tests and measurements, establishment of therapeutic intervention goals and development of therapeutic intervention programs, and implementation of therapeutic intervention plans utilizing occupational therapy techniques.
The Entry Level Occupational Therapist maintains all applicable patient records related to the delivery of patient care services. While performing job duties, the Entry Level Occupational Therapist may also supervise support personnel including Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, Rehabilitation Aides as well as Occupational Therapy and Occupational Therapy Assistant students. The Entry Level Occupational Therapist actively participates in departmental and organizational programs, including quality and performance improvement activities, clinical education programs, and inservices and staff development activities.
