To stay ahead of the diverse, complex, and growing threats and opportunities facing the nation, the IC must embrace the ongoing digital and data transformation and plan for it.Roles and Responsibilities:

The Data Architect advises the Office of the IC Chief Data Officer on data architecture direction, formulation, and trends. You will be part of a MITRE team developing, coordinating, and implementing data reference architecture with input and collaboration across the Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense. In this role, you will serve as a strategic advisor on data architecture to senior government officials in the IC Chief Data Office. You will be responsible for serving as the interface between cutting-edge technical experts and the government pairing mission needs with achievable policy decisions and outcomes. You will work on data reference architecture and data management policy designed to serve current and future needs of the Intelligence Community.The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of data architecture, reference architectures, data mesh principles and experience developing data reference architecture documents, models, and plans. The candidate should bring the ability to explain and implement the best data architecture practices found in the government, public, and private sectors while being an objective, informed partner for government leaders who rely on MITRE’s insight and subject matter expertise to advance the government’s interests in the data architecture.Minimum Qualifications:Must have active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.10 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 8 years of experience with a Master’s degree; 5 years of experience with a Ph.D.; or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.Demonstrated data architecture skills – examples of data architectures previously developed.Experience, knowledge, and understanding of data mesh principles.Experience, knowledge, and understanding of US federal data architecture standards and policies.Demonstrated experience developing IC or DoD data architecture.This position requires an on-site presence of 5 days a week on-site.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s Degree in one of the above listed disciplinesDemonstrated experience supporting a chief data officer.Demonstrated experience working with senior government officials managing competing equities of various government stakeholders.Demonstrated experience coordinating complex concepts across a diverse stakeholder population.Experience, knowledge, and understanding of National Security, Intelligence Community, and Department of Defense data and data architecture policies and guidance.Demonstrated understanding of data interoperability concepts and experience implementing the same.Demonstrated skills in communicating with executive and senior level government staff, both in briefings and written documents.Experience collaborating across federal agencies and commercial companies.This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):Top Secret/SCI/PolygraphSalary compensation range and midpoint:$157,000 - $196,000 - $235,000 AnnualWork Location Type:OnsiteMITRE is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
