Folk, Jazz, Rock, Pop & Funk | Online Guitar Lessons with a ProDescription:Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm a bassist, guitarist, and songwriter born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. With 10 years of experience as a musician, I have played both as a soloist and with groups that vary from bluegrass ensembles to jazz combos to rock bands. I have also collaborated with artists such as Aoife O'Donovan, Balla Kouyate, and Joe Pessia. Additionally, I write and perform my own music that ranges from original folk songs to contemporary classical pieces, showcased in various venues across Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire, and on live TV through the Brookline Interactive Group.My main passion is education. I have been teaching private lessons and in classroom settings since 2019. My experience includes teaching bass and guitar lessons at the Hyde Square Task Force, coaching bands with the Girls Rock Campaign, and serving as a teaching assistant for music theory, voice, and band classes at Meridian Academy, a middle and high school in Boston. Currently, I attend the New England Conservatory of Music, studying Contemporary Musical Arts. I value a customized musical education that centers around the student's interests.If you've never touched an instrument before or if you've been playing for years, my goal is to help you become the musician you want to be.
