Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Principal Architect for its Johnston, RI location.
Duties:
Provide end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of banking applications. Provide technical and architectural expertise to accomplish the architecture vision and business goals using Agile methodologies and Cloud technologies, like AWS, PaaS, Docker, and Kubernetes. Present designs and solutions to the architecture review board and senior management for evaluation and approval. Work closely with business, product management, software engineering, and cyber security teams. Participate in building Highly Available, Scalable, Fault Tolerant applications with Low Latency and High Throughput using modern technologies such as Microservices, TypeScript, NodeJS, GraphQL, Java, Springboot, Transmit Security, ThreatMetrix, and Fortify.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field, followed by eight (8) years of progressive experience in the role or in a related position. Full term of experience must include:
Utilizing Microservice development and design patterns, NoSQL Databases, AWS Cloud, and CICD pipeline;
Providing technical direction to business and IT stakeholders to enable the development of efficient cloud-native applications;
Supporting the full software development life cycle, including business requirements analysis, technical design, preparation of workflows, software development, test support, and product implementation;
Utilizing Java, J2EE, Restful APIs, Cloud Native platforms (Amazon Web Service), Python, API management, Enterprise Service Bus, GIT, DevSecOps (Jenkins, Ansible, Helm Chart), Java, Springboot framework, IBM MQ, Simple Queue Service, Tomcat, SOAP, and WSDL/XML software to deploy and run applications;
Conducting performance monitoring, capacity planning, system tuning, availability planning, analysis, and documentation of information to create applicable statements of work and associated deliverables;
Programming in Java, NodeJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python and designing, developing, and constructing applications leveraging Big Data Map Reduce, Pig, Hive, Vertx, ReactJS, Redux, GraphQL technologies;
Architecting cloud-native applications using Domain Driven Design, Microservice design patterns, and 12-factor app methodologies;
Building Event Driven Systems with Event sourcing using KAFKA, Activity Streams, CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) functions, Docker, and Kubernetes;
Preparing application solution design and high-level architecture using Enterprise Architect tools, including Lucid Chart, Sparx, and Microsoft Visio;
Developing cloud-native applications to facilitate rapid deployment on cloud infrastructure (AWS EC2, Lambda, RDS SQL Server, Redis Cache, OpenShift Container Platform, Azure SQL Server, Vnet) that supports client business requirements;
Designing secure applications using Ping Identity, Transmit Security, ThreatMetrix, Akamai NetStorage, NexusIQ, Fortify, SonarQube framework and tools;
API Development and management with IBM API Connect, Data Power, API Gateway for Open API Specifications (Swagger) & API contract management.
