Position Overview
Kivo is seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Senior Product Manager
to join our growing team. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for leading the strategy, development, and execution of product initiatives that ensure Kivo’s software solutions meet the highest regulatory and usability standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success, to deliver products that delight our customers and provide significant value in the highly regulated drug development space.
This role is especially focused on product usability and the ideal candidate will have a strong perspective on UX and product design and the ability to generate wireframes and designs on your own.
Kivo follows a hybrid work model, with two days a week in our Portland, OR office and the option to work remotely for the remainder of the week. Applicants should live within a commutable distance to our Inner Eastside office in Portland, OR.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy : Develop and drive the product roadmap for Kivo’s software platform, aligning with company goals and market needs.Product Development : Lead the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, including planning, requirements gathering, design, testing, and post-launch analysis.Product Release Documentation:
Own product documentation including requirements, release notes, and work closely with the validation team to produce all documentation for releases.Metrics & Analytics : Monitor product performance using key metrics and analytics to track customer satisfaction, product adoption, and overall impact.Cross-functional Leadership : Collaborate with engineering, UX, and other stakeholders to define product requirements, manage trade-offs, and ensure timely delivery.Customer Focus : Act as the voice of the customer, collecting feedback directly from users and translating it into actionable insights that inform product decisions.Compliance Expertise : Ensure all product features and updates meet 21 CFR Part 11 (and similar) regulatory requirements and other relevant compliance standards for the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.Stakeholder Management : Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and executive leadership.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in product management with a focus on Enterprise SaaS products.Passion for UX design and experience building products with elegant user interfaces and a focus on usability.Understanding of software solutions in a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices).Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex product development cycles.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.Strong customer focus with a track record of working directly with customers to solve complex business process needs.Understanding of data analytics, BI, and reporting.Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance and its impact on software development a plus.
