My Studio Sessions is an emerging platform where recording studios offer their spaces to musicians and engineers. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced COO to help drive our business forward. This is a unique opportunity to join a startup at a critical growth stage and play a key role in shaping its future.
Responsibilities:
Sales & Client Acquisition:
Develop and implement strategies to attract and sign up recording studios.
Schedule and conduct sales visits and meetings with potential clients.
Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to closing.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with studios.
Marketing Strategy & Execution:
Plan and execute marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and user engagement.
Manage social media accounts and content creation.
Organize and manage participation in industry events, such as the AES convention at the Javits Center.
Analyze and report on marketing effectiveness.
Operations Management:
Create and maintain a project roadmap, ensuring tasks are prioritized and deadlines are met.
Oversee daily operations and direct efforts among staff members, including sales, web programmers, app programmers, and customer support.
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations.
Assist in managing day-to-day operations to alleviate the founder’s workload.
Financial Oversight & Budgeting:
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
Prepare monthly financial reports.
Develop pricing strategies.
Customer Support & Client Relations:
Handle client inquiries and ensure client satisfaction.
Develop and maintain client onboarding processes.
Regularly check in with clients and address feedback.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
New Studio Sign-ups:
5 new studio sign-ups per month.
Website Traffic:
20% increase in website traffic over the next three months.
User Engagement:
15% increase in user engagement over the next three months.
Sales Meetings:
Schedule and conduct 10 sales meetings per month.
Marketing Campaigns:
Launch and analyze at least one marketing campaign per month with a 10% conversion rate.
Event Participation:
Successfully plan and execute participation in at least one major industry event within the first six months.
Operational Efficiency:
Implement at least three process improvements or tools to streamline operations within the first three months.
Feedback and Adjustment:
Provide a monthly report analyzing performance against KPIs and propose adjustments or new strategies.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a startup environment.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to take initiative and work independently.
Passion for the music and recording industry.
Experience with marketing and sales strategies.
Compensation:
$25/hour, with potential for increased hours and responsibilities based on performance.
Opportunity for equity or profit-sharing based on company growth and success.
Evaluation and Accountability:
Weekly 2-hour meetings to discuss progress and upcoming tasks.
Regular check-ins and performance reviews to ensure goals are being met.
Clear deliverables and milestones will be set for the trial period, with opportunities for feedback and adjustment.
