The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team builds and operates massive-scale, integrated cloud services in a distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. We are looking for a Senior Member of Technical Staff to help us build high-performance API services that secure and protect API traffic at OCI.As an ideal candidate, you will have knowledge of large-scale services in a distributed cloud environment. In addition, you will have an understanding of Linux fundamentals and will combine this knowledge with your hands-on experience in software development. You will champion creating an engineering environment that embodies the best development and testing practices for delivering secure, scalable, and highly available services. At every level, our engineers have a significant technical and business impact by designing and building innovative new systems to power our customers' business-critical applications.ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Member of Technical Staff, you will help design and develop highly scalable and performant API services used by hundreds of teams at OCI. You will be one of the engineers responsible for implementing, deploying, and operating highly available and secure cloud services. You will design and develop code, unit tests, and integration tests and use the CI/CD pipeline for pre-production functionality, performance, and scalability testing. You will participate in our on-call rotation to monitor our service fleet.Required Qualifications4+ years of experience in software development, developing large-scale distributed services/applicationsProficiency in Java/Python/C++ and Object-Oriented programmingKnowledge of data structures and algorithmsStrong organizational, verbal, and written communication skillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalentDesired QualificationsKnowledge of cloud computing & networking technologiesKnowledge of APIs and API SecurityThe role will generally accept applications for at least three calendar days from the posting date or as long as the job remains posted.About UsAs a world leader in cloud solutions, Oracle uses tomorrow’s technology to tackle today’s problems.
