We take big bets on new concepts, enabling AWS services to continue to revolutionize the industry.We are looking for a seasoned Senior Software Development engineer to build and own the server related firmware. As a senior engineer in this team, you will work with a team of world-class software developers who thrive on creating innovative, scalable solutions for real-world data center infrastructure problems. You will be part of development efforts to build, validate, and support firmware in diverse technology domains from embedded software to large-scale distributed software systems, using proprietary and open source technologies.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering teamExperience developing embedded systemsExperience with software development for server platformsWorking knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Shell, or other similar scripting languagesUnderstanding of Intel architectureUnderstanding of server platform design and architectureExperience with IPMI and BMC developmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent5+ years of experience understanding of Intel architecture5+ years of experience with server platform design and architecture5+ years of experience with IPMI and BMC developmentAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
