Job Responsibilities:

As a recognized Agile expert, the Agile Coach provides hands-on support, recommendations, and guidance across Agile teams through leadership, training, and support.

The coaching educates team members in Agile methods and their role in the Agile operating model, as well as the business value Agile provides.

The Agile Coach regularly assesses and calibrates the team’s Agile fluency, leveraging the enterprise framework, including direct support of work mobilization activities.

The goal of the Coach role is to elevate Agile teams to a level of capability that no longer requires the Coach’s guidance.

Requires comprehensive expertise in leading-edge theories or techniques in agile approaches.

Focus on coaching and training leadership and assisting Scrum Masters and agile teams.

Ability to provide guidance and oversight to multiple teams, growing capability across the organization.

In-depth expertise in agile to interpret obstacles and recommend best practices.

Helps Scrum Masters resolve problems and identify innovative solutions.

Offers advice for delivery teams on transitioning to and operating in scaled delivery environments.

Coaches teams to drive agile adoption.

Reports to Practice Area Lead or Practice Lead and contributes directly to assigned Journey or Platform.

Participates as a member of the agile team, supporting a positive work environment that promotes quality, innovation, and teamwork.

Provides thought leadership for agile execution and participates in capability building.

Stays current on emerging trends and grows knowledge of agile tools and techniques.

Participates in personal performance management and development activities.

Keeps others informed about the status of committed work and relevant information.

Contributes to team development through mentorship, sharing knowledge and experiences.

Leads and develops relationships with internal and external Agile teams.

Contributes to a fair, positive, and equitable environment supporting a diverse workforce.

Acts as a brand ambassador, both internally and externally.

Skills and Experience Required:

Post-secondary education and typically requiring 7+ years of Agile experience.

Certified Scrum Master and/or Certified Scrum Master in scaled Agile framework (e.g., SAFE) with 5+ years of Scrum Master experience.

Advanced knowledge of agile theory, methodology including scaling techniques, planning, forecasting, reporting, conflict resolution, and facilitation.

Ability to establish goals that support delivery execution for multiple teams.

Ability to lead, plan, execute, and evaluate work activities to ensure completion of initiatives.

Skill in mentoring, performance management, and using analytical software tools.

Proficiency in MS Office and industry-standard Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends.
