Position Summary:About Team:Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.What you'll do:Development of Generative AI and LLM for E-commerce Data:
Lead in the research and development of state-of-the-art generative AI and large language models specifically tailored for interpreting and processing high-dimensional, complex unstructured, and structured e-commerce data. Innovate in creating models that can generate actionable insights and recommendations from vast datasets.
Generative Modeling for Insight Mining and Optimization:
Utilize generative AI and LLM techniques to experiment with and analyze large-scale e-commerce datasets on distributed computing platforms. Develop models capable of mining deep insights and forecasting trends, thereby identifying opportunities for optimization across various business metrics and goals.
Advanced Generative Features for Advertising Applications:
Engineer advanced generative algorithms to extract dynamic features that significantly enhance the targeting, relevance, ranking, and optimization of e-commerce advertising campaigns. Leverage LLM capabilities to understand and predict customer behavior and preferences for more personalized ad experiences.
Relevance and Conversion through Generative AI:
Implement cutting-edge machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and active learning techniques focused on generative AI to drive unparalleled ad relevance and conversion rates. Develop comprehensive end-to-end systems and solutions using these models to maximize the performance of advertising products.
Experimental Validation with Generative Models:
Design and conduct extensive A/B testing and both offline and online experiments using generative AI and LLM to validate the performance of new models. These models, responsible for optimizing the delivery and effectiveness of hundreds of millions of ad impressions daily, will be rigorously evaluated for their impact and efficiency.
Collaborative Integration and Iteration of Generative AI Models:
Work in close collaboration with company leadership, product managers, and system engineers to iteratively refine and deploy new generative AI models and algorithms into the advertising ecosystem. Share and present insights derived from generative AI models both within the organization and to external partners, showcasing the strategic advantages gained through your work.
What you'll bring:This position requires a strong background in machine learning, natural language processing, and advertising domain knowledge, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Experienced with end-to-end modeling projects emerging from research efforts.
Excellent academic or industrial track record of proposing, conducting, and reporting results of original research, plus collaborative research with publications.
Nice to have:Experienced in online advertising, recommender system, search engine, ecommerce, GenAI or related areas.
