This database management position will be on a dynamic team, supporting Team Submarine. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors.
Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for their Team Submarine contract supporting the acquisition of submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.
Serco-NA is seeking a motivated individual to provide programmatic support to one of our NAVSEA customers. Serco-NA has an opening for an engineering Associate.
In this role, you will:
Read, understand, create, and redline/update documents used in the engineering profession
Learn to neatly organize thoughts and work, and keep track of what was done for future reference
Understand and operate antenna ranges
Presentation of data results, specifications, problems, & solutions to management and customers
Possible Projects and Tasks:
General Engineering Skills
Read and comprehend professional engineering drawings, test procedures, and schematics
Assist with engineering support where needed; research and advise on equipment upgrades
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will have:
High School Diploma/GED and in pursuance of BS in Cyber Security from accredited university as a rising Senior or Master Student
US Citizenship required
Ability to obtain Security clearance required
Ability to learn and understand new concepts quickly
Team Player, willing to go the extra mile for the team
10% travel required.
