The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking a passionate and forward-thinking executive director with a proven, successful track record of developing a strong branch board, increasing annual giving, engaging community through increasing membership and programs while advancing the Y’s impact in the community.This highly motivated leader who is impact-focused and entrepreneurial by nature will report directly to the Group Vice President and will have primary responsibility for day-to-day operations. Experience in and a demonstrated track record of the areas of staff supervision, membership and program development, fiscal management, fundraising, volunteer cultivation, and community engagement are required. The continued development and coaching of an experienced staff team to new levels of service will be key to achieving full potential.Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years overall leadership experience or high school diploma and 12+ years of directly relevant experience with the Y or closely related non-profit2+ years of successful experience managing large teams in an executive level/senior management positionBusiness management skills and demonstrated ability to lead peopleStrong attention to detailProven ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations, corporations, and government agenciesPassionate commitment to the YMCA mission, values, and purpose.CPR and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hirePreferred Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, business or equivalentExperience in directing total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program developmentHands-on experience working with a diverse population in a YMCA strongly preferred12+ years of directly relevant experience with the YMCA or closely related non-profit4+ years of management experience, strategic vision and relationship building preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency
