General Summary:

Sourcing Manager at Qualcomm will develop and execute supplier strategies supporting a range of product portfolio across Business Units. This individual will work with cross-functional teams across the organization and manage performance of OSAT and core-technology providers to maximize value for Qualcomm. The individual will assess markets, leverage competition and strike supplier agreements to provide long-term supply assurance and competitive advantages to Qualcomm. Sourcing Manager will have direct responsibility over all business aspects with the supplier, not limited to strategy, price, relationship management, and contractual performance.

Individual will have the opportunity to work with a diverse and talented interdisciplinary group on leading-edge technologies and influence product decisions for the company.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Development of suppliers to enable long-term viable and competitive repeat buy business.

Execute sourcing strategies to ensure supply with the lowest total cost of ownership.

Collaborate across various organizations (supply chain, engineering, product management, etc.) to ensure business objectives are met.

Negotiate product pricing and contract terms and monitor performance for compliance.

Continuously assess and implement tactics to mitigate supply and ecosystem risk to business.

Analyze scenarios and effectively communicate with Sr. Executives, with data & recommendations.

Work independently with little supervision.

Requires solid verbal and written communication skills to convey complex detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels.

Work within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department.

Have a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to make key decisions).

Tasks may not have defined steps; simultaneous use of multiple mental abilities is generally required to determine the best approach.

Substantial creativity is needed to innovate new processes, procedures, or work products within guidelines or to achieve established objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.

8+ years of Sourcing or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

8+ years direct experience in the semiconductor industry in procurement, sourcing roles.

5+ years direct experience managing semiconductor Contract Manufacturers (OSATs, EMS, etc.)

Fundamental understanding of semiconductor packaging, bump, WLP package technology manufacturing and cost structure.

Track record of collaboration and delivering results in a cross-functional environment.

Strong critical and analytical skills, out-of-box ideation.

Excellent interpersonal skills with a penchant for teamwork.

Project management experience is a plus.

Pay range:

$148,000.00 - $222,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
