1Overview:
We are seeking experienced Contract Specialists to join our team at WHS-AD. The ideal candidates will have recent, relevant experience using contract writing software systems to create modifications and contracts, specifically PD2 (Procurement Desktop Defense, or SPS, Standard Procurement System).Key Responsibilities:Create and write modifications and contracts using PD2 software.Support federal employee contract specialists in their duties.Administer cost-type contracts, conduct quantitative analysis, plan negotiation strategies, conduct negotiations, and document results.Utilize cost and price analysis techniques.Qualifications:Experience:Recent, relevant experience using contract writing software systems (PD2, PRISM, ConWrite).Former federal employee contract specialist or contracting officer with a warrant (preferably for the Department of Defense).Former contractor supporting federal employee contract specialists in creating/writing modifications and contracts using PD2 software.Education:
Bachelor’s degree.Certifications:
Preferred contracting certifications include NCMA CFCM, NCMA CPCM, DAWIA Level III contracting, FAC-C Level III contracting.Skills/Technologies:Experience administering cost-type contracts.Quantitative analysis skills.Ability to plan negotiation strategies, conduct negotiations, and document results.Proficiency in cost and price analysis techniques.3+ years of demonstrated pre-award/award/post-award contracting experience procuring products and services utilizing FAR parts 8, 12, 13, 15, and 16.4 years of demonstrated pre-award/award contracting experience.2 years of demonstrated post-award contracting experience.DOD contracting experience and familiarity with FARS and DFARS.Nice to Have:Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Preferred Experience:Former federal employee contract specialist or contracting officer with a warrant.Experience with the Department of Defense.Experience using PD2 software.
