Our client isMinnesota's largest electric cooperative, providing electricity and renewable energy alternatives to members. They areseeking to fill the position of President & Chief Executive Officer. They area Minnesota's largest member-owned electric cooperative. Headquartered in Ramsey, Minnesota, just north of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

What you will be doing:
Serve as the strategic leader with the Board, developing and implementing business strategies and plans in line with both short-term and long-term objectives.
Lead and motivate a six-person executive team responsible for day-to-day operations.
Ensure senior leaders meet expectations for high performance, growth, and continuous improvement across all disciplines.
Report directly to an eight-person Board of Directors, administering policies and directives established by the Board.
Champion the development and growth of organizational talent and enhance overall employee engagement.
Keep the Board well-informed and connected, providing insights, options, and information for assessing risks and opportunities to support confident decision-making.
Maintain awareness of the cooperative's overall condition, including member relations, financial health, power supply, regulatory issues, risk management, technology, operations, safety, and employee satisfaction.
Foster a culture of innovation, improvement, results, and success throughout every cooperative function while strengthening the company's vision, culture, and values.
Directly engage in relations with legislators, lobbying groups, business partners, rating agencies, and other external stakeholders.
Lead the cooperative as it adapts to an evolving business model, embracing new energy solutions.
Experience you will need:
Master's and bachelor's degrees in business administration, public administration, or a technical-professional area such as economics, engineering, finance, etc.
Several years of increasingly responsible administrative, management, and supervisory experience.
Deep industry knowledge.
Member/customer-focused, with the ability to instill that same member-focused culture throughout all levels of the organization.
Commitment to safety.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in public presentations to diverse audiences.
Relationship-building solid skills to form positive connections with individuals inside and outside the organization.
Emotional intelligence to manage personal emotions and adapt interactions appropriately.
Experience in designing and implementing an organizational strategic plan.
Ability to motivate, inspire, and energize staff toward achieving the cooperative's goals and strategies.
A working understanding of Board-CEO/Staff relations, emphasizing mutual trust and respect.
A long record of acting ethically, transparently, empathetically, and with the highest level of integrity.
Strong work ethic, adaptability, and resilience in challenging situations and changing priorities.
