JOB SUMMARYThe Program Associate (PA) is a member of the newly created cross-organizational Policy and Advocacy team located in either Schusterman’s Washington DC or New York NY offices. The PA will work to achieve a more just and inclusive society by supporting policy and advocacy work in Schusterman’s priority areas: Gender and Reproductive Equity, Educational Equity, Voting Rights, and Criminal Justice Reform. This position will also support Schusterman in using its assets, financial and otherwise, to maximize impact while looking for new ways of collaborating among colleagues and external funders. This position will report to the Senior Director for Policy and Advocacy.RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is a key role on the Policy and Advocacy team. Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Project Management & Planning (30%):

The program manager will lead projects and strategic planning efforts involving colleagues from Schusterman portfolios and outside consultants that maximize our Policy & Advocacy impact in priority areas.Knowledge Management & Communications (30%):

Manage analysis of and presentation of data, insights, and activities so that leadership and colleagues have a clear understanding, track key indicators of work so progress is clear.Internal Collaboration (20%):

Build relationships across Schusterman teams and knowledge of Schusterman portfolios.External Collaboration (20%):

Maintain active networks in the policy and advocacy sector in order to formulate perspective, identify opportunities, and represent Schusterman at events and meetings.
