Lead Project Manager for our Gas Complex Project Management department in Waltham, MA . This is a hybrid role with approximately 1-2 days at the Waltham office. Note that a hybrid worker should also reside within a reasonable, commutable distance to their assigned primary office.

Job Purpose
Our team collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to successfully execute large complex gas projects while maintaining schedule and budget and mitigating risks.
Key Accountabilities
Responsible and accountable for managing a large portfolio (up to approximately $75MM USD) of multiple gas complex capital projects in the New England territory from inception through construction and closeout, which will allow for the safe and reliable delivery of natural gas to existing and future customers.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Manage gas distribution and transmission pipeline, regulator/take station, and other related asset projects, including new facilities, major additions, replacements and retrofit projects.
Drive efficiencies across projects for on-schedule, on budget delivery in alignment with company values, safety objectives and quality standards.
Coordinate and provide direction for the accounting, cost, forecast and construction functions as they relate to the completion of the project.
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to provide project updates and drive the project(s) to completion.
Possess working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, contracts, contractors, purchase orders, project correspondences, permits and all project related documents.
Negotiate and execute contracts and change orders to design team, contractors and others.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree required in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering discipline, or related Bachelor’s degree.
Master’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering discipline, MBA, or related Master’s degree preferred. A Professional Engineer’s (PE) license and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification also preferred.
7+ years of experience in project management, construction management, and/or relevant utility operations. Successful delivery of complex projects preferred.
Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints. Bottom-line oriented, budget conscious, metric/measurement driven.
Considerable proven experience in direct project development and design including milestone management, resourcing, affordability, risk management, reporting and possess team leadership and influencing skills.
Experience creating a high energy and inclusive team climate whereby team members are able to discuss relevant issues freely and where there is a strong emphasis on continuous improvement.
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence strategic decision making.
Proficiency with presentations and public speaking, especially geared toward executive leadership.
