Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Supply Chain Director to establish and optimize our supply chain operations for turbojet engines. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain management, procurement, logistics, and inventory control within the aerospace sector. This role requires a proactive leader who can drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement supply chain strategies to support the production and delivery of turbojet engines.
Oversee procurement processes, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and relationship management.
Manage logistics and distribution networks to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and finished products.
Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment of supply chain activities with production schedules and quality standards.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, shortages, and quality issues.
Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Analyze supply chain performance metrics and implement corrective actions to achieve operational excellence.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to drive innovation in supply chain practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the aerospace industry.
Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, procurement practices, logistics, and inventory management.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex supply chains and delivering results.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
