Senior Sourcing Manager - Electrical, eero Supply Chain

The electrical/electro-mechanical sourcing manager plays a critical role in the overall success of eero’s product fulfillment model. Their role is to manage the commercial and business relationships between eero and its electrical/electro-mechanical supply chain, and interface externally with those suppliers as well as internally with eero’s supply chain, engineering, and operations management teams.
Key job responsibilities
We’re looking for someone who can:
Manage all commercial aspects of the assigned supply base, including: achieving cost reduction goals through negotiation, creating and implementing sourcing strategies across a wide array of commodities, driving assurance of supply, building a strong global network of supplier relationships, and resolving various open issues with the cross-functional team.
Negotiate multi-year hardware and software agreements with chipset vendors.
Track electrical and electro-mechanical commodity markets and technology roadmaps.
Analyze supplier cost structures and competitive landscapes to identify and negotiate cost-saving opportunities.
Develop and execute buying strategies and proactively obtain executive approval for risk buys where needed.
Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to transition new products (NPI) and product enhancements from engineering pilot production to full production.
Coordinate inventory levels on products during ramp down or EOL phase to minimize the scrap write-off.
Support engineering requests for engineering changes (ECO’s) and track NRE changes with suppliers.
Work with Hardware Engineering in component/supplier selection for new programs and alternative sources.
Experience and examples of managing and resolving multiple challenges simultaneously.
Exceptional communication skills - verbal and written.
Travel to Asia up to 10%-20% of the time to meet with and develop relationships with suppliers.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
