Position Responsibilities: We are seeking talented and motivated Data Scientists with expertise in machine learning, statistical analysis, and artificial intelligence to join our team. In these roles, you will be responsible for developing advanced algorithms and data-driven solutions that address complex challenges. As a Data Scientist, you will: Develop and implement machine learning, data mining, statistical, and graph-based algorithms to analyze large and complex datasets. Prototype and evaluate multiple algorithms, selecting the final model based on rigorous performance metrics. Design and execute experiments or create models to generate data when training datasets are unavailable. Generate reports and visualizations that provide actionable insights and summarize data findings for clients. Translate complex data analysis into clear, actionable recommendations. Collaborate with subject matter experts to automate manual data analysis processes and integrate analytics into production frameworks. Apply expert knowledge in data science to deliver solutions that address clients' business needs. Conduct assessments of clients' preparedness to integrate data analytics into their operations, including technical, cultural, and workforce aspects. Stay current with emerging tools and techniques in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analytics to continuously improve the quality of your work. This role requires a self-driven individual capable of working under minimal supervision, with a strong ability to translate raw data into concise and actionable insights. You will work closely with clients, managers, and technical staff to understand business needs and deliver effective, data-driven solutions that enhance decision-making and operational effectiveness. Required Degree and Experience: Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, or computer science) with 1-2+ years of relevant work experience. Or, a Master’s Degree with 1+ years of relevant work experience. Or, a PhD with 0+ years of relevant work experience. Experience in applied research, big data analytics, statistics, data science, computer science, operations research, machine learning, or related quantitative disciplines. Required Skills: Programming & Data Analysis: Proficiency with data analysis tools and programming languages such as R, Python, SAS, MATLAB, Java, C++, or SQL. Experience in developing experiments to collect or simulate data when required data is unavailable. Ability to develop feature vectors for machine learning algorithms and identify, tune, and evaluate the most appropriate algorithms. Machine Learning & Statistical Analysis: Knowledge of machine learning, statistical modeling, and data wrangling. Experience in developing, training, and validating machine learning models. Ability to develop data-driven solutions, data models, and visualizations. Advanced Analytics & Big Data: Proficiency with big data technologies such as AWS, Azure, NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis), Hadoop, or Spark. Familiarity with cloud-based distributed database technologies like Databricks and tools like PySpark. Strong ability to communicate complex models and concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Comfortable working and collaborating in dynamic environments. Required Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph Desired Skills: Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL). Proficiency with unsupervised, semi-supervised, and supervised learning algorithms and technologies. Understanding of the data science lifecycle (e.g., CRISP-DM). Some positions may desire experience in applying AI/ML techniques to solve cybersecurity challenges. Some positions may desire experience applying data science methods to cybersecurity problems. Some position may prefer a Security+ certification. Capable of building models for deployment in real-time environments and supporting the cybersecurity mission space. Strong background in developing predictive models and quantitative simulations. Experience in consulting, including organizational and technology assessments. Work Schedule: Ability to work on-site for 36-40 hours during a typical week. Travel:
