About the Mission You Will Join:In this COMSEC SME role, you will be integral in safeguarding communications, ensuring that sensitive information remains secure, and maintaining the integrity of the communication systems.
Your Impact to the Mission:
Manage the Communications Security (COMSEC) program in accordance with the procedures and guidelinesMust obtain and maintain COMSEC level training and designationManage all requests for cryptographic services, equipment, and materialReceive, issue, and control all electronic key, secure telephone equipment and In-Line Encryptors (INE), firmware and software updates centralized around communication securityMaintain the handling, operation and troubleshooting of INE KG175; Secure Data Sender (SDS) KIK20 and Really Simple Key Loader (RSKL) KIK30 key loading devices and General Dynamics Viper Secure TelephoneEnsure all services comply with the regulations contained agency policyConduct daily inventory inspections of all COMSEC devices as required by policy and proceduresConduct semi-annual COMSEC inventories in March / September and provide reportParticipate in annual audit and maintain a “Satisfactory” ratingProvide a bridge for complex cyber issues at all levelsExperience Needed to Be Successful:
