Senior Fullstack Development Engineer (Ruby on Rails)
to join our team and help drive the evolution of our platform. In this role, you’ll not only optimize and enhance our existing platform but also work on innovative third-party integrations. Your technical expertise and strategic mindset will help us scale efficiently while you serve as a creative thought partner in delivering exceptional solutions. As part of your career journey with us, you’ll transition into our new platform development team, working primarily with TypeScript and React on an AWS EKS cloud infrastructure.At Chorus Innovations, our engineering team's mission is to build a scalable, resilient, and secure platform, meeting and surpassing our clients' and users' needs. Lead the development and maintenance of our current platform (Ruby on Rails backend, Angular/React front end) with a focus on performance and scalability.Identify and execute performance improvement opportunities across the codebase and systems, leveraging third-party integrations to enhance platform capabilities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect solutions that provide seamless user experiences and adhere to high standards of security.Proactively identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities across the platform to ensure robust protection of user data.Mentor and inspire junior engineers, fostering a culture of growth, creativity, and innovation within the team.Drive continuous improvement through thoughtful code reviews and by staying up-to-date with industry best practices.Work closely with product managers and designers to translate user needs into efficient and scalable technical solutions.Eventually transition to the new platform development team, contributing to the build of our TypeScript-based, React front end on AWS EKS infrastructure.Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails and Angular/React.Strong experience with third-party integrations and optimizing performance for web applications.Expertise in cloud-based solutions, with a deep understanding of AWS services and cloud security best practices.Proven ability to independently identify performance bottlenecks and deliver optimized solutions.Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative team culture.Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality, maintainable software in fast-paced environments.A proactive, problem-solving mindset, eager to take ownership of complex challenges.Why You’ll Love Working with Us:
