Senior DevOps Engineer Washington, DC Metropolitan Area

We are seeking a senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. The candidate will work with a tight, highly skilled engineering team in planning, design and operation of new and existing platforms in concert with development and technology goals and requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to our overall architecture and infrastructure, especially as it relates to availability, scalability, security, performance, etc.Help improve, implement, and maintain our CI/CD setupParticipate in building and enforcing best practice disciplines for SDLCProvide support and problem resolution impacting our SDLCBuild and maintain infrastructure in AWS utilizing infrastructure-as-codeDevelop scripts and monitoring tools around containing and reducing costs within AWSLiaise with members of the Engineering team to build awareness on best practices and effective usage of our development tools portfolioFoster the DevOps disciplines at Resonate--reduce friction and time to deliver new code to productionParticipate in PagerDuty rotations and respond to infrastructure outages 24/7.Qualifications & Experience Requirements4+ years of professional DevOps or equivalent software/system engineer experience2 or more years of Python coding/scripting experience1-2 years of Terraform infrastructure-as-code experience2+ years professional hands-on experience with AWS – DevOps or Solution Architect Professional certificate preferredExperience administering and managing monitoring tools - Splunk, TIG (Telegraf, InfluxDB, Grafana) Nagios, AWS X-Ray, etc.Experience supporting and administering Linux systemsExperience around managing containers and Docker and working with AWS ECS/FargateExperience writing Maven, Gradle, and SBT build filesExperience with source control, CI and build tools – Git (Github/Gitlab), TeamCity/Jenkins, AWS CodeDeploy/CodePipeline, GitHub ActionsExperience administering and managing streaming data services – KafkaExperience with configuration management tools – Ansible preferredExperience working/collaborating with software engineering in an Agile environmentExperience debugging and fixing system wide infrastructure issuesNice to Have QualificationsExperience managing Java Spring Boot microservicesExperience with AWS data engineering/MLOps tools – EMR, SageMakerExperience building Step Functions and developing AWS lambdasExperience aiding in the development of ETL processesExperience working with various security vendors to perform routine security scans, pen testing, etc.Bachelor’s degree in Computer ScienceThe Successful Candidate will be…An engineer who loves to solve problems.Excited about new technologies - you seek them out, you yearn to know more.Passionate about quality – measure twice cut onceUnderstand that there are always improvements to be madeTaking initiative, unprompted, to become the subject matter expert in various technologies.Not shy towards processes or technologies you aren't comfortable with.Wearing multiple hats and have a can-do attitude towards DevOps.Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and effectively manage priorities and communicate progress.Besides the opportunity to work with smart, fun, hard-working Resonate employees, you will have uncapped growth potential, a work/life balance, and a competitive suite of benefits.LocationAt Resonate, we're proud to offer a flexible work environment that combines the best of both worlds.
