Apply logical skills and data science expertise by simplifying technical requirements and trends to produce meaningful data stories for both a technical and non-technical audience. Present data findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders using your knowledge of data lakes, scripting languages such as Structured Query Language (SQL), Python, and R, and data visualization tools. Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators (KPI) to drive technical outcomes. Apply data visualization through various formats such as dashboards, graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides. Improve cybersecurity visibility and analytics by identifying and closing gaps for data insights. Advance the cybersecurity mission by utilizing data analysis techniques on cyber threat and intelligence information. Drive large-scale business and process decisions across Booz Allen by creating data-driven stories for our cybersecurity posture and effectiveness. Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations. Work independently as well as on a small team developing products that drive Enterprise cybersecurity and information technology business decisions, identify improvement opportunities, and develop a meaningful story for our cyber mission. Work closely with internal cybersecurity teams to collect requirements and analyze data-rich environments. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.Basic Qualifications:6+ years of experience with data science and data analysis4+ years of experience working with Python and SQL2+ years of experience working in a big data ecosystem with tools such as Databricks, Spark, or Hadoop1+ years of experience supporting a cybersecurity teamKnowledge of statistical analysis techniques and how to apply them to large datasetsAbility to develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in data visualization tools such as Power BIAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentAbility to be self-motivated and detail-orientedBachelor’s degree in a Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Cybersecurity, or Information Security fieldAdditional Qualifications:Experience with machine learning (ML) frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learnExperience with Splunk log ingestion, data structures, and query languageExperience applying data methodologies to a Cyber Fusion Center (CFC), Security Operations Center (SOC), or enterprise cybersecurity organizationExperience with Zero Trust (ZT) visibility and analyticsKnowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and ML capabilities, and ways to apply these methodologies to visibility and analyticsPossession of strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skillsPossession of strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner and translating data into actionable insightsMaster’s degree in Data Science or a related fieldCompensation:At Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being.
