You’ll be working alongside PhD scientists across many disciplines, experienced software developers, and insurance industry experts to apply cutting edge research to equally sophisticated hardware and networks. You will be upgrading and installing hardware and software, performing troubleshooting to resolve IT issues, and maintaining our networks and servers, which also includes our cloud assets in AWS. The position also involves monitoring our information security program and the installation and troubleshooting of our in-house developed software into client environments.To ensure success as KCC’s IT administrator, you should possess extensive experience in IT administration and the ability to optimize the performance of our IT infrastructure without compromising security. An accomplished IT administrator is someone whose technical expertise results in enhanced IT system efficiency across company structures.ResponsibilitiesMonitoring and maintaining networks and servers.Upgrading, installing, and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives.Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats, following and adapting CIS standards.Gathering and examining software logs to determine issues, and provide resolutions.Researching, quoting new hardware & software solutions and improvements, and keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration.QualificationsAssociates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience.Extensive experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies.Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent.System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus.Cloud based system experience involving AWS and Azure.Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security.Exceptional organizational, time management, interpersonal and communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.BenefitsHealth insuranceDental InsurancePaid time off401(k)401(k) matchingFlexible spending accountCommuter benefits
