Description:
To oversee the principles, practices and methods related to the identification, placement and instructional support for students enrolled in the English for Speakers of Other Languages Program (ESOL) at BridgePrep Academy locations.
Essential Performance Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with state and district procedures to determine eligibility and placement options for ELL students.
Generate and monitor error reports for ESOL compliance and FTE Survey Windows.
Compile and utilize student data to assist multidisciplinary teams at multiple BridgePrep Academy locations in problem solving and action planning for ELL students.
Generate accountability systems to evaluate the progress monitoring data of students enrolled in ESOL programs at multiple BridgePrep Academy locations.
Develop a referral process to respond to requests for support by teachers, administrators, parents, and other stakeholders.
Assist school campuses with the administration of state and school-based assessment protocols.
Provide support and technical assistance to school-based ESOL Coordinators in the development and implementation of ELL Plans and best practices in serving ELL populations.
Facilitate and/or participate in ELL Committee Meetings, when necessary.
Maintain accurate and current student records, while adhering to FERPA requirements.
Review current developments, literature and technical sources of information related to job responsibilities.
Participate in continuing professional development to remain abreast of trends and best practices in serving students enrolled in ESOL programs.
Additional Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to safety rules and procedures while on campus and during transit to multiple BPA locations.
Follow all state and district rules regarding mandatory reporting requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or designee.

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
ESOL Certification.
Knowledge and Skills:
Bilingual Skills.
Three or more years teaching or leadership experience.
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
Ability to review IEPs.
Knowledge of the referral, evaluation, and placement process.
Physical Requirements:Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move.
Reports to:Vice President, Special Populations.
