Position SummaryTCW is embarking on an exciting, multi-year technology modernization initiative. We are seeking a talented Data Product Owner to play a pivotal role in this transformation. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and technically proficient individual who can join our dynamic team and drive cutting-edge data and technology solutions that address real business needs. If you have a strong data product background and experience in providing end-to-end data lifecycle solutions using tools like Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and BlackRock Aladdin, you could be the key player we need to plan business deliverables and help development teams execute efficiently and effectively.Essential DutiesChampion the voice of other departments by understanding investment business needs and translating them into business and technical requirements for data delivery.Conduct requirements gathering and solution design in collaboration with business partners to define future products and roadmaps.Clearly articulate data vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and priorities.Perform data-driven analysis and develop recommendations to guide decision-making.Build strong relationships with investment teams, operations personnel, client services, information technology, and other teams across the organization.Serve as a key member of the scrum team, ensuring development processes align with the product roadmap and maintaining data accuracy and quality.Effectively manage the Product Backlog to maximize delivered value, including developing and communicating sprint goals and priorities, creating product backlog items, and ensuring transparency and understanding.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Product Owner or similar role.Experience in the asset management industry, focusing on trading, portfolio management, analytics, and data management.Familiarity with investment platforms and asset management principles across various asset classes.Proven experience in an agile/scrum software development organization and understanding of the development lifecycle.Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, SQL Server, Ataccama, and other relevant data tools and technologies.Professional Skills QualificationsAbility to lead through change, foster effective partnerships, and drive collaboration with peers and vendor resources.Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams, and business users at all levels.Excellent problem-solving abilities and a focus on business objectives, requirements, and priorities.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical staff.Self-starter and team player with the ability to manage complex challenges.Desired QualificationsExperience with large-scale data solutions and migration projects; BlackRock Aladdin experience highly desirable.Data warehouse implementation experience for a buy-side investment firm.Experience integrating external data providers like Bloomberg, CoreLogic, or FactSet.Estimated Compensation:Base Salary:

For CA & NY based position, the base salary range is $170k-$180k. This represents base salary range only.Other Compensation:

In addition to the base salary, this position will be eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus.Benefits:
