We are in search of an accomplished Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) to become an integral part of our Executive Leadership Team. The CAO will collaborate closely with our CEO to formulate and enact a comprehensive strategy that includes marketing, volunteer involvement, and fundraising initiatives aimed at advancing our mission and vision.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to accomplish collective organizational objectives.Inspire and mobilize the Advancement team through innovative and ambitious strategies to enhance organizational impact.Cultivate a collaborative culture that prioritizes results and encourages teamwork, transparency, and continuous improvement.Oversee talent management initiatives, including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance assessments.Encourage and facilitate ongoing professional development for team members.Spearhead the creation and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy that encompasses major gifts, annual giving, and planned giving.Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, foundations, and individual supporters.Formulate and implement an extensive volunteer recruitment and engagement program.Advocate for our mission in all external engagements with stakeholders, including donors and community members.Guide public relations and marketing strategies to elevate awareness and support for our initiatives.Required SkillsCritical thinking and adeptness in resolving complex problems.Proven track record in fundraising and donor development practices.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging a diverse audience.Leadership qualities that inspire and motivate teams to meet and surpass goals.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to forge enduring relationships.Commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.QualificationsA profound passion for and understanding of our mission.A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.At least 10 years of professional experience in development, marketing, sales, or management, with a preference for experience in nonprofit settings.Career Growth OpportunitiesOur organization is committed to the ongoing professional development of our team members, providing ample opportunities for training and advancement within the organization.
