Reporting to the Vice President, the Sr. Director provides Digital oversight and management for one or more significant enterprise application(s), platform(s) or service(s) linked to a Mass General Brigham’s mission-critical strategy or initiative, or that support core business processes across all Mass General Brigham.
As a Senior Director for the MS365 Modern workplace applications and related eco-System (e.g., MS365, Workfront, SharePoint, Teams, Security & Facilities), your role will involve overseeing and leading a team of developers, support & demand governance professionals who help and guide users of the Microsoft eco-system. You will be responsible to design and implement the overall processes that meet industry, MGB and Digital standards. You would be responsible for ensuring that the support team (Technical & Functional) delivers exceptional customer service, resolves issues efficiently and meets service level agreements. Additionally, you will work with other Digital and departments within the organization to identify and resolve recurring or systematic issues, and provide input to improve the overall user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the Digital Enterprise Systems team to design and implement the enhanced support & development processes.
Redesign processes for Microsoft functionality releases and ongoing Support.
Staffing levels and roles (Technical, Functional, Security, and Reporting).
Assess the need for 3rd party staffing support where needed.
Design the overall governance and demand intake partners with Digital PMO.
Manage MS365 licenses including allocation, negotiation and annual license true ups (audits).
Develop and implement Service Level Agreements and KPIs for Microsoft support.
Management and Executive Level reporting and dashboard creation.
Partner with MGB Facilities/Security to transfer platform support to Digital including operating budgets.
Staffing strategy for the MS365 Digital Helpdesk including budget needs (and KT to Digital Helpdesk).
Identify current Business Support gaps with recommendations to close gaps.
Participation and collaboration with the Digital PMO Lead organization for demand and prioritization.
Oversee the Digital activities associated with the incorporating future enhancements to the MS365 Platform. Work with other Digital leaders to ensure the appropriate technical support for the solutions.
Work with other Digital leaders and vendors to develop Mass General Brigham Digital (MGBD) strategies, tactics and services.
Collaborate with business leaders & stakeholders developing an understanding of their business goals and identifying how the application, platform or service can best help the site meet those goals.
Proactively ensure security measures are in place to protect confidential data compliant with state and federal regulations and other pertinent regulatory agencies.
Provide innovative and proactive management, including recruiting, retention and development of high-quality staff.
Lead the integration of future MS365 programs/enhancements into the current Digital eco-system.
Develop and monitor the Digital budget for the MS365 enterprise application, platform or service. Lead efforts to identify new approaches to deliver improved services and cost savings.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Management, Healthcare Informatics or equivalent subjects. Master’s degree desired, but not required in lieu of equivalent experience.
Fifteen or more years of relevant experience in managing information systems in large site organizations – experience in healthcare organizations is a plus. Prior information systems leadership experience at the Director level desired. Specific experience in complex budgeting, planning and decision support.
Manage 4+ different technology platforms and related teams.
Develop deep industry contracts including participation at industry events including leading presentations and panel discussions.
Drive & manage overall architecture and AI roadmaps across all technology platforms within the team.
Drive overall technology programs in Digital space including running Steering & Governance Meetings.
Lead negotiations on contract renewals in partnership with Strategic Sourcing team obtaining the best deals for MGB as possible (licenses, training credits and services).
A combination of education, consulting and Microsoft experience may be substituted for requirements.
Skills For Success
Ability to demonstrate Mass General Brigham’s Leadership Competencies for both Performance Focused Leadership and People-Focused Leadership.
Deep understanding of information technology concepts, strategies, approaches. Knowledge of relevant health care software ecosystem for clinical, financial, administrative, and research use.
Demonstrated skill and experience in large project management, negotiating/contracting, strategic planning, analytic thinking, and human resources management.
Executive presence including excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels within MGB.
Ability to carry out duties with a high degree of customer service, communication, teamwork, transparency and timeliness.
Experience managing large operating and capital budgets (greater than $45m).
Adept at working in a highly matrixed organization.
Supervises several managers, staff, architects, contractors and System Integrators.
Manages the capital and operating budgets for the applications, platforms and/or 3rd party services.
