(40hr) Director of Information Technology and Security
who will manage and direct the company’s information technology (IT) operation, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective support and service. Provides guidance, training, and support to ensure the effective execution of security initiatives. Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability tests to identify potential security threats and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises IT Manager & Project Manager, responsible for overall IT department.
Position will require in-office presence; discussion welcome about hybrid structure.
Essential Responsibilities :
Infrastructure/Operations: Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs. Develop and update departmental policies. Directs the development of operational and capital budgets to support department operations and infrastructure.
Lead Technology Strategy: Continuously monitor and analyze emerging technology trends, industry best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure UCFS remains at the forefront of innovation and security. Act as a thought leader by providing strategic insights and recommendations to guide the organization's technology roadmap and long-term vision.
Project Management: Directs the development and implementation of technology projects and initiatives.
Security: Oversees the development, modification, and operation of security protocols including intrusion detection and prevention systems to protect the organization’s information from breach or loss. Facilitates IT security audits or investigations. Position serves as the HIPAA Security Officer and facilitates organizational risk assessments and corrective action.
Vendor Administration: Directs personally or by delegation to direct reports the acquisition, implementation and administration of all technology and information and communications systems including leases, equipment, hardware and software throughout the organization.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Administration or related field; MBA
or
MA/MS in Management Information Systems preferred.
10 years of IT management experience.
Specific experience launching enterprise-wide technology support solutions.
Experience in a health care setting is required; Community Health Center experience is preferred.
