Responsibilities
The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, Ingredients and/or Packaging, provides executional excellence and support to Premier Nutrition Corporation’s businesses. This position reports to the Senior Director of Strategic Sourcing and is responsible for a managed spend of approximately $400 million and the business transformation to drive productivity through strategic initiatives with the category. In partnership with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain, ensures that the performance, cost objectives, and quality goals are met or exceeded. This role requires strong planning experience, development of performance and measurement tools, and the ability to collaborate and influence others in cross-functional areas on negotiations.You’re excited about this opportunity because your time will be filled with:Ingredient and/or Packaging category spend, approximately $400M: 50% of your timeDevelopment and execution of strategic programs that support long-term supply and pricing strategies and ensure that programs are aligned with business goals and objectivesSupporting universal pricing and supply chain strategies that support the sourcing categoriesMaintain security of supply and supplier compliance and make needed improvements by working collaborativelyDevelopment of performance tracking tools as they relate to the execution of the program strategyTrack market indices to properly identify business risks and opportunitiesNegotiate supplier contracts and terms and conditions aligning with category strategies teaming with LegalDevelop a Supplier Relationship Management process and Supplier Strategy through full executionSupervise other Sourcing Managers for Ingredients and/or PackagingProductivity for Key Categories within Ingredients and Packaging: 30% of your timeBusiness transformation to drive incremental productivity through strategic initiatives within the categoriesManages the PNC MR2 Productivity Process, to meet annual company cost savings goalsProvide strategic direction which delivers annual year-over-year productivity and total cost of ownership advantageDrive ingredient and packaging value engineering with cross-functional teamsManage New Innovation Projects that align with category strategiesBusiness Processes: 20% of your timeImplementation of a commercial framework to support business transformation and business processesInfluence of suppliers & stakeholders to adopt and execute business programsBuild and leverage tools and technology to track and report productivity and drive ideation within the categories
Qualifications
What are we looking for?Education:Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain or OperationsExperience:Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Sourcing or Supply Chain ManagementSkills:Interpersonal & concise communication (written and oral) skillsProficient in MS Excel allowing for fact-based diagnostics and data mining.Ability to operate independently and successfully in roles of both influence and control, interfacing at senior levels with suppliers, peers, and company leadership.Ability to effectively negotiate in tough situations with internal and external stakeholders and drive for a solution that benefits all parties.Experience leading and influencing individuals in a matrixed organization.So, if after reading through this long list you’re thinking—I’m not sure I meet 100% of these requirements, should I still apply?
